For all of you looking for Pataya: the proper form is Pattaya with double “t”. I’ll use both forms in this article about Pataya and south Pattaya hotels. What is the meaning of soi? Sois are side-streets branching off a major street. The closest English term for soi would be lane. Soi in Pattaya or Patong Beach is a short lane, usually closed for cars and motorbikes, and full of bars. Taking into account the quantity of Thai girls in these bars I strongly recommend going visit a soi bar without any credit card. Less stings of remorse the day after.
Pataya
Pattaya is the biggest brothel in the world. Are you interested? Let’s look at Pattaya from a bird’s viewpoint. The town lies alongside Thai beaches. Nightlife center is called Walking Street, but you can find bars and girls almost everywhere in Pataya and almost everywhere in South Asia by the way. If you are interested only in spending money and helping Thai economy Walking Street is a very good place to do it. ATM’s are everywhere, prices astonishing. Women are the friendliest all over the world. (Ok, I don’t know everything, but…) However if you want to spend holidays in a less crowded, less stupid place I would recommend go south, to the islands, Koh Samui or Phuket. If you are a regular tourist then Pattaya is not a place for you. I love brothels, so I feel happy there, but if you are more family oriented person or you have any kind of a deal with a god then simply don’t go there. Thailand has great climate and very friendly people. Three biggest treasures of this country are women, beaches and Buddhist monasteries. The rest is for fans of architecture, family holidays, and jungles. One more advice: don’t expect a clean beach in Pataya. If you prefer paradise beaches – don’t go there.
South Pattaya Hotels
I present short descriptions of 4 luxury hotels. If you are looking for something cheap then my advice is: go there and you’ll find plenty of budget hotels or hostels everywhere. If you had enough money to come to Thailand than for sure you have enough to spend a few weeks or months doing exactly nothing there. If you are looking for a cheap hotel – you don’t need internet for it. Many bars offer a cheap accommodation. Besides – most of the Thai girls would be happy to invite you to their place. Maybe not the first night, not the second, but it doesn’t take a lot of time usually. Personally I prefer to chose one woman, go with her to her own town and live with one woman for a few weeks or months. It’s better from every angle of view.
1. Penthouse is located near the 2nd Road, at Soi Pattayaland 2. The price ranges vary from $20 to $350, depending on the room and the season. They have really awful website, but photos are good. A little bit too rococo for me, but this is a house of ejaculation, so it makes sense.
2. Don’t miss to check availability in Hard Rock Hotel in South Pattaya. Hotel is located at 429 Moo 9, Pattaya Beach Road. Prices from x to y. Check on their website, they change them all the time and don’t give any general information. Hard Rock Hotel is a hotel for men who know what they are looking for. A lot of fun… for sure.
3. Sheraton Pattaya Resort is not the cheapest one. For this reason they prefer not to give any information about rates on their website. One more stupid marketing gimmick. The hotel is located at 437 Phra Tamnak Road, Pattaya 20150.
Pataya II
4. Citin Garden Resort is a very nice hotel surrounded by a lush tropical garden. I think they exaggerate a little bit about this garden but are honest enough to give room rates. The price ranges vary from $26 to $40. The hotel is located at 148/232, South Pattaya Soi 2, South Pattaya Road, Nongprue, Banglamung Chonburi.

Soi Cowboy
Soi Cowboy is a red light district in Bangkok, perhaps one of the biggest red light districts in the world. Personally I prefer places like Patong Beach on Phuket island or Koh Samui, but if you go to Bangkok and you don’t know where to go to spend money and write the next chapter of your autobiographical novel, which no one wants to publish, go to spend your head and lose your money as a cowboy in a red lane in Bangkok. I don’t see any better way of wasting the time called life than smelling lingerie of these girls. I wonder what you were looking for if you came to this page after writing down soi cowboy in search engine. Pics? Then go to the photos section in Google. Info about what is it and how is it? It’s simply great until you don’t get AIDS, until your plastic is worth anything, until you don’t spend too much on Viagra, if you like play pool and talk about absolutely nothing with girls in these bars. If you become bored after few months you can always change your mind and go to a Buddhist monastery. See you in Soi Cowboy in Bangkok; see you again in Patong Beach, Pataya or on Koh Samui.
Jomtien and Patpong
Jomtien is a beach located near Pattaya. Patpong is another red light district in Bangkok. I’ll write about both of them soon.
