The correct form is Phuket, not Puket. I assume that you have come to this site because you’re looking for some information about holidays on Phuket. There are two possibilities: you’ve already been there and you know what to expect or you didn’t, but you’re curious, you want to see, feel, to get to know something about this famous place. This article is dedicated to the people who didn’t ever go to this island. There are two categories of people who go there. The first one are men who go there to make love with Thai women. It’s more than 50% of tourists who go to Phuket holidays.
Of course many of them are hypocrites, so they wouldn’t say it openly. It has nothing to do with sex itself; it has to do with behavior of Thai women, their perception of relation between man and woman which is extremely rare. There’s only one danger: HIV. And HIV in Thailand is a little bit different than in U.S., Australia or Europe. I write about it in other article. Here I only share my opinion about the best places on Phuket. I’ll divide the whole issue in three sections to make it easier to understand:
- The whole island
- Bangla Road
- North-West of Rawai
The whole island
Let’s divide the whole island in four parts by two lines, one vertical, the second one horizontal, crossing in the middle of the island. The most crowded part of the island is South-West. You can find some good places on the west shore on the north from Patong as well, and a lot of good bars in South-East part also. However the rule is simple: more south – more girls, more west – more girls. I’m not going to talk about etiquette in bars, beaches, streets, massage centers. It is a huge subject for another article.
There are thousands, not hundreds, of girls almost everywhere. Almost all of them are very friendly, extremely “easy going”. One may compare it to… absolutely NOTHING in Europe. If you know some hot places in Europe – forget about them. Thailand is different; Phuket is different and much, much better. Hundreds, thousands of bars in Chalong, Rawai, Patong, Karon, Kata… Beer is quite expensive; pool is free of charge usually. To put it simple – if I wouldn’t be a scientist searching for the mystery of life in modern laboratories in US, Switzerland, or Japan, I wouldn’t move from those bars. My professional career finishes soon, so my plan is to spend there the rest of my life. I love this form of life. Sun, love, sex, absolute freedom and peace. Congestion of attractive women is so high that all man’s fears and rage dissolve quickly.
Bangla Road
Phuket Holidays I
Bangla Road is the central road in Patong Beach. This road, like La Rambla in Barcelona, never dies. Maybe in rainy season it is different, I don’t know. From November to May it is simply crazy. Bangla is the most sex friendly piece on the planet we live. And I’ve seen a lot of places. There are sois where you can’t enter because 30 women for 1 man is simply too much, they’ll destroy you in an hour. And some of these women are EXTREMLY BEAUTIFUL. Of course most of them is normal, just smiling all the time. They are open to anything you wish. If you would like to talk about Jesus or Russell’s logic that’s ok, they’ll not ask you for a beer, they are very polite and patient. It’s a paradise and hell, two in one. For the first-timers: there are so many transvestites, that if you are not sure about your preferences, better spend few days watching to see who is who. A possibility to make an error at the beginning is quite high.

Bangla is the center of the nightlife on Phuket. I prefer Bangla than Pattaya for many reasons. Who are these girls, who are these Thai women? This is a topic for a much longer article.
North-West from Rawai
Rawai lies on the very south cape of the island. There’s a road from Rawai to Kata. Besides Bangla Road this is the best place on Phuket in my opinion. Alongside this road, almost in the jungle, you’ll find about 50 bars with women waiting for you. It is not as crowded as in the cities, the ambient is very relaxed, some of these bars are amazing, and women are so pleasant… During the night this place has something from a dream. I know that many of you may think: “What is he writing about? These women are whores!” They are not, at least not in a sense we would use this word in Europe or U.S.
Patong Beach hotel or hotel Patong
If you’ve started to read this article that’s probably because you’ve written down Patong Beach hotel or hotel Patong in your search engine. If you are looking for a good hotel, and by “good” I mean a hotel in Thai style, not an international shit which you can have at every place you go, I recommend Royal Phawadee Village. Prices are acceptable if you are not a backpacker. If you are looking for a hotel Patong, or Patong Beach hotel which is very cheap or luxurious than click in a different link.
Patong Beach… I’m a happy man, because I’ve seen this place, I had this chance. To understand it, think about a triangle. This particular triangle has three angles: culture, nature, and women. Thai people are probably the friendliest people on earth. I’m European; I’ve lived in many countries in Europe, and travelled a lot. And I wish for all of you to learn from Thais. Phuket is not a Thai place talking precisely. It’s a mix of Thai and European culture.
The second angle of the triangle is nature, but this is the most obvious: beaches, temperature, climate, and so on. Sometimes tsunami, but generally speaking human friendly environment. A little bit too many ants perhaps.
And the third part of the story: women…
So you have already this name: Royal Phawadee Village. The owner is a French guy about 60 years old. The staff is friendly. Remember: they work 60 hours per week and don’t earn much. Treat them good, they are really good people, most of them. Good night.

Kamala Beach
Kamala Beach lies on the west bank of the Phuket Island, in the central part of the shore, about 5kms north from Patong Beach. This is not my favorite location on Phuket. Phuket itself is so crowded by tourists during high season that to write about my favorite locations would be like selling my precious gems for nothing. Comparing to Phuket Kamala is much quieter. Of course there are also bars with girls ready to do anything you like, like playing pool let’s say. The beach is a little bit disappointing comparing to Karon, Kata or Patong itself. If you want to hire a boat for a few hours it’s a good place. The village lies on the flat shore and was strongly devastated by tsunami in 2004. If my memory works fine the monument dedicated to victims of tsunami is in Kamala or near there. I didn’t enjoy anything especially in this town. If you are looking for a motorbike to rent for few weeks or days Kamala is a good place, prices are about 20-30% lower than in Patong. There are some interesting things around Kamala. Between Kamala Beach and Patong Beach a meditation center is situated.
This meditation center is not a Buddhist monastery, this is rather a kind of a luxury hotel with meditation, relaxation, horribly white skinned people, and gentle atmosphere. There are some interesting galleries of art and a hot yoga center on the road from Surin Beach situated north from Kamala to Heroine Monuments in the center of the island. Forget about the monument, it’s nothing interesting, just the crossroads of two main roads on Phuket. So on this road which I’m talking about there are three galleries worth mentioning. The first one is called Palace of Arts. They have a lot of traditional Thai sculptures and art crafts, some of them are really beautiful. Few hundred meters from there is another gallery with contemporary paintings. I don’t remember its name but it’s very easy to see it from the road. I’ve seen there some of the most expensive painters of Asia, from China including, so if you need to spend a lot of money this is a good place to go. The girl attending in the gallery was very nice; I don’t remember why I didn’t invite her to go to the beach.
