Patong Beach Hotel

You’ll find many Patong Beach hotels on “hotel reservation” page. Patong Beach is located on the west shore on Phuket Island. It’s a tourist center of nightlife and entertainment, the best place on earth for hedonists.

Holiday Inn Resort Phuket is located in the very center of Patong Beach, offers accommodation with 24-hour room service. Its facilities include two swimming pools, a fully equipped fitness centre and four dining options. Each room has a private balcony. Guests can enjoy a relaxing massage and body and beauty treatments. Facilities include a business centre and a minimart. The hotel offers four hundred five rooms. It’s located about  five minutes from the famous Bangla Road, the center of Phuket nightlife and one of the most vibrant places on the earth. Prices in November 2010 for one night stay per room: from 4,000 to 9,000 THB; in January 2011 for 2 pers.: from 9,000 to 11,000 THB. Comparing to the prices of other hotels in Patong prices are extremely high. It’s easy to find a less luxurious place for half of this price. Taking into account that the main attractions of Thailand are not inside, but outside of the hotels I don’t recommend to book in Holiday Inn if you’re short of money.

There are over three hundred hotels and guest houses in Patong Beach. Quite a lot taking into account that we are talking about a relatively small city, about twenty five thousands of habitants approximately. From May to October most of these hotels are empty, prices are very low. Rainy season in Thailand is sometimes hard to bear; the sea is rough, and murky. Everything changes during Phuket holidays high season from November to April, with the peak from December to February.

One of the high ranking Patong Beach hotel is Royal Phawadee Village with medium rates from $83 – $175 (€60 – €126). I can sincerely recommend this hotel because I’ve stayed there over two weeks. The hotel location is great, two hundred meters to the beach and five hundred to Bangla Road. Prices are relatively low, the interior garden and rooms are amazing, the stuff is friendly. I’ve been only twice in more beautiful places/hotels, both located in Taiwan, one near Sun Moon Lake, the second one Puluwan in Taroko valley. Royal Phawadee Village is the third one on my list of best hotels in the world.

What Phuket and Patong Beach have to offer:

  • extremely beautiful white sandy beaches and landscapes
  • one of the greatest diving sites on the world
  • the best food after French and Chinese cuisine
  • richness of Buddhism temples, customs, monasteries, traditions
  • Bangla Road: maybe the most vibrant nightlife in Asia
  • festivals: vegetarian, Songkhran, crazy New Year
  • great place for sailors, amateurs of golf, pool and Muay Thai
  • very friendly, always smiling people
  • amazing Thai women
